It’s been a strange ole year 2020 and I’m starting to feel really old!
I first arrived in Chatswood 21 years ago from Radelaide (or Adelaide for those uninitiated with this ironic pet name :-)). Diplomas in hand and a twinkle in my eye, I rented a room in a chiropractic centre in Archer Street. After 6 years, it was time and I opened Feel Amazing Wellness Centre here in Spring Street.
A lot has changed in the last 15 years – Feel Amazing Wellness Centre was one of the first wellness centres in the Northern Sydney area, practicing naturopathy, acupuncture, chiropractic and remedial massage before the trend grew into big business. Also specialising in pregnancy massage and our reputation in this area grew.
Through this time of growth in Chatswood and in the clinic, we’ve strived to keep a connection with our own community, our valued clients and local network of health care providers. While things may be different around us, we are still the same practitioners you’ve come to know. Some of us are a little older and greyer, but with time has come experience gained and professional studies undertaken. This extent of valuable learning only adds to the services we can offer. I am proud to say that Feel Amazing has become the multidisciplinary clinic I’d always hoped it would be.
Part of our ethos is being not interested in the fads that aren’t backed by research, or image-conscious photos of what some people think the human body should look like, or the often fake sentiments around being healthy, or treatments that are labelled as miracle cures. We do our research and I often try treatments before prescribing them to our clients. We are also but human. We come in all shapes and sizes. We do our best to balance our health, wellness and wellbeing with busy lives. Life isn’t perfect, so neither are we. I’ve certainly had some challenges in the past but by keeping things real, I went on and lost 50 kgs and have kept it off for around 7 or 8 years now (before and after photos above).
